The West’s very own international film festival will be back in May from 8-18 May 2025, presenting quality, award winning films from independent film makers around Australia and the world. 

Now in its twelfth year, the Annual Setting Sun International Film Festival screens shorts and features at The Sun Theatre Yarraville, Bluestone Church Arts Space Footscray and the Greek Centre Melbourne, as well as online. 

The festival includes a competition element with prizes awarded across multiple categories.  Setting Sun Film Festival 2025 is proudly supported by Maribyrnong City Council’s Signature Festivals and Activations Grants Program.
